May-hem

The sun is finally shining today, but the rest of the week has been rainy.  Combined with strong winds on Monday, and Lake Superior was wild!  Barry and I went over there on Monday afternoon to check out the waves.  Seeing photos does not do it justice--being there, feeling the spray of the waves and the force of the wind is quite an experience!

Now you see it . . .

  . . . now you don't.

A little break from the waves

My partner in crime

Spray peeking over the top

Barry gets a little too close to the water

The seagulls appeared to float in the buffeting winds

At this point, the rain had picked up again, and I couldn't keep my lens dry enough to get focused photos.  It's too bad, because the following pictures really show how far the waves reach.

The wave first crashes into the cliff

The resulting spray is at least twice as tall as the rock

It reaches far to the back as well

And finally drains off the side
