Sunrise, June 24

Since we were out of town on Sunday, I had to go out on Monday morning instead.  Because there was dense fog along the north shore all weekend, it worked out well!  By Monday morning, the skies were clear and the fog had mostly cleared.  The sun rose at 5:10 a.m., and the temperature was 52 degrees.  Lingering dampness in the air and on the ground left my pant legs wet.

Sunrise, June 16

It was 54 degrees this morning, and actually felt warm!  It was also the earliest sunrise of the year at 5:08 a.m.  The sky was clear with only a few clouds right above where the sun rose.

Sunrise, June 9

When I'm by the lake in the morning, I hear birds all around me.  I can never get close enough to get great pictures, because they fly away.  So when I saw this bird outside my bathroom window, I grabbed my camera.

Back at the lake, the sun rose at 5:09 a.m.  The skies were mostly clear, with a temperature of 37 degrees.

I saw something swimming--an otter? beaver? something else?  Before I could get too close, it went under water and disappeared.

Sunrise, June 2

It was 46 degrees when the sun rose at 5:12 a.m.  Heavy clouds hovered at the horizon, but cleared further up in the sky.

With all the rain we had the previous week, much water is flowing into the lake

Leaves! Not buds!

As I stood on top of the hill, I watched the clearing area in the upper left move across the sky
