Sunrise, August 11

I went back to the marina this week for the 5:56 a.m. sunrise.  It was in the upper 40's, a bit on the cool side.  The clouds were rather heavy over the lake, making for some nice pink color as the sun rose.

I started out on the observation deck, which overlooks the entire marina area.

Before long, a ship left the harbor.  I had to walk around to where the flag is to get closer to the ship.

As I watched the ship sail away, the sun shone through the clouds.

The sun finally broke through the clouds, illuminating the lake in front of me, the ship just a speck in the distance.
