Fun with Fireworks

Because we're so close to Canada, we thought we should celebrate Canada Day on July 1st with a campfire and fireworks by the lake.  We got there at twilight so we could see well enough to make the fire, but it was dark before long.

Using a long exposure, I captured Raina making letters with her sparkler, like this (backwards) a

For the fireworks, I set the shutter speed at 2 or 2.5 seconds

This one I purposely took out of focus for the bokeh effect

Barry and Jackson were "sword fighting" with their sparklers; I find it interesting that there's no sign of either of them in the photo!
