East Coast Vacation

Barry and I dropped the kids off at Grandpa and Grandma's house and took off on an East Coast vacation. I mostly took photos with my phone, but brought out my camera by Lake George in New York, at Cape Cod, and near Baltimore.

We had fun watching some people parasailing over Lake George (the Adirondacks are in the background).

We visited Silver Bay, New York, the only other Silver Bay in the U.S. and the home to the Silver Bay YMCA, a 112-year-old family retreat and conference center.

We really enjoyed our drive through Vermont, and drove through a covered bridge for the first time ever.

After driving for many days in a row, we stayed put two nights in Provincetown on Cape Cod.

Atlantic Ocean

The 1.2 mile breakwater that leads to the tip of Cape Cod

Snails in between breakwater rocks

Long Point lighthouse

Weathered dock

 Moors

Cormorant

We visited a county park near Baltimore that is an abandoned artillery location where the British invaded with 7000 troops during the war of 1812.

The concrete buildings are now overgrown with weeds

And everything is locked up

Tiger lilies remain

I wouldn't want to get locked inside here!

I think this is a the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

 Ruins along the shore

Dead vines climb up a tree

Really creepy graffiti/painting inside an abandoned space
