Sunrise, March 24

It was 25 degrees and overcast when the sun rose (behind the clouds!) at 7:01 a.m.

I wonder how long it will take to melt the ice off this rock?

Still icy

Gnarly tree branches

Snow and ice begins to melt, leaving dirtiness behind

Sign of spring:  melting snow flows down towards Lake Superior

Sometimes snow and ice melts from underneath, leaving a shell of what was there

A distinct line between open water and icy water

Debris path, another sign of melting
