I don't know if I want to get up at 5 a.m. in the summer to photograph
the sunrise, but this time of year the sun rises after 7 a.m. On
November 18, sunrise was at 7:14 a.m. so I left the house a little
before 7 to watch.
At first there was just a strip of color at the horizon
Rock beach
The lake wasn't as wavy as the week before
Gradually the color in the sky expanded
Finally the sun started to appear . . .
. . . brightening the sky around
Reflecting across the water
Leaving a glow in the sky
When I turned around, this deer was on the road
Last view before I left the shore
